Reflections..

Wouldn't you just love to know what thoughts can go through such a young mind, he's probably wondering if he can get one of those leaves in his mouth before I grab it out of his hands.....

Snack time

I think this speaks for itself.

Just a swinging....

It was so nice outside today when I got home so me and Alex went outside and relaxed in the swing for a while. He loves being outside but he tries to put everything in his mouth so we have to keep a very close eye on him.

All I need is my conductor's hat.......

Alex looked so cute this morning in his new overalls I had to take a few pictures to share with everyone. Check out those sexy legs behind Alex though, look pretty good huh?

Tickling Daddy's belly button

Alex thought this was the funniest thing....while Johnny was laying on the floor Alex went over and lifted his shirt and put his finger in Johnny's ticklish belly button, as soon as Johnny put his shirt back down Alex would do it again. Alex would start laughing as soon as he would see the smile on Johnny's face, what a smart little boy we have.........

Brotherly love

This is only the beginning, but Dillon has been a good sport so far, even as he is being hit in the head with the remote that Alex loves so much to carry around all the time. Luckily we haven't lost it yet though.

Cheerio on my head

As you can tell, Alex gets a little carried away with his Cheerios, he was saving the one on his head for later...

Chillin in the laundry basket

Alex has a fascination with laundry baskets for some reason, so after I was done folding the laundry I put him & Dillon in it and he just kept playing like it was nothing, Dillon on the other hand was not that thrilled. As you can tell in the first row, he is starting to stand on his own, he can take a few steps as long as one of us is in front of him, if not he just squats back down to the floor and continues to crawl. He loves riding on Johnny's shoulders, he'll grab whatever hair he can get a hold of or he'll put his fingers in Johnny's ears and hold on. He won't be able to do it much longer though at the rate that he is growing, pretty soon he will be hitting his head on the door facing.

Food in my ear

Alex got a little carried away eating his cheese quesadilla the other night, no that is not ear wax in his ear, that is his food, as well as in his hair.

Daddy made me a wagon

This is the wagon Johnny made for Alex, this is still the unfinished product though, once it's done it will be red and have a stap inside to strap Alex in. He will ride in this down the isle in Jeremy & Erin's wedding in April. That will be interesting I'm sure, he will have lots of snacks in there with him I'm sure to keep him occupied. As you can tell he really thought he was something sitting in there, his face just lit up.

Kickin back by the fire

We didn't do a whole lot this weekend, just pretty much hung out at home. It was kind of chilly so we had a fire today and just relaxed. Alex was mesmerized by the fire but he didn't try to mess with it. I think he is about to get a few more teeth in so all he wanted to do today was sleep. He was in bed asleep by 7:30 (yeah), so I got a few things done around the house.

Weekends are the best!!!!

Saturday was pretty laid back. We went by Uncle Jeremy & Aunt Erin's house to look at the progess of their house, & Jeremy cut one of the limes off his tree and sliced it up for Alex, as you can tell it was a pretty big lime and Alex loved it!!

Ella's 1st Birthday!!

This is Ella's (Alex's cousin) first birthday party from this past weekend, happy birthday Ella! We had such a good time and the kids had so much fun. Alex didn't even take a nap till we left Gainesville at 6:00. I believe Alex also found his first girlfriend, Amelia (in the pink dress) , she is so adorable, they are the perfect match! I believe me and her mom Sarah both agree. We'll have to keep an eye on them.........

Crazy family

Alex's 1st Christmas

Alex had such a wonderful 1st Christmas. Although he slept through us opening presents he made up for it the next day when he was able to see all of his presents.

Making messes are so much fun

As you can tell Alex enjoys his food (he gets that from his momma). The more he likes something the louder he is while he's eating, it's so funny. We haven't come across anything yet that he doesn't like. He pretty much eats what ever we're having so that makes dinner time easy.

Alex loves his bath time..

This kid loves his baths. He makes me a nervous wreck though because he also loves to stand up in the tub and he usually has a duck in one hand and holds the side of the tub with the other hand. He also loves to act like he biting the side of the tub, I guess he likes the way it feels on his teeth.

Family Christmas pictures........

Do you see what I had to work with here in order to get our Christmas pictures made? We had set our camera up on the timer so you could imagine my frustration trying to get Johnny, Alex & Dillon to look at the camera at the same time. I guess it turned out pretty good though, I was pleased with them.

HO HO HO!!!!

My best friend Janet from Kentucky got this santa suit for Alex before he was even born and thankfully he was just the right size to wear it at Christmas. Alex was such a good sport by letting me dress him up and take all kinds of pictures, I just couldn't resist, he looked so darn cute. He had no choice but to have the holiday spirit, he even wore the santa hat out shopping, it was great to see the smiles on peoples faces when they saw him.

Christmas with Grammy & Poppy

Grammy & Poppy got to come down before Christmas so we went to St. Augustine and had pictures made in front of the Christmas tree on the square. We had such a good time.

Spending time with Pappaw

Pappaw gets to come to Jacksonville every few weeks, so Alex gets to see him quite a bit, although he is now going through the separation anxiety plus he doesn't know what to think about Pappaw's facial hair. He'll smile and laugh at him from a distance but if Pappaw gets too close Alex starts screaming. We're working on it though.

Thanksgiving 2006

These are some pictures taken during Thanksgiving. Alex had such a long day he couldn't even stay awake during dinner, as you can tell in the first picture.

In the beginning........

Here are a few pictures of the before and after of Alex's arrival. I forgot how tiny he was, you would never know now by looking at him now.
