Playing in the sprinkler

I meant to post this a few weeks ago, but kept forgetting. One night we were over at Grandma & Grandaddy's house and Alex discovered the sprinkler. Well Grandaddy turned it on for a minute to let Alex see what it did, well he just thought that was the best thing ever, as you can tell in all the following pictures. He was absolutely soaked from head to toe, he loved it!

Weekend pictures

I worked on raking the yard this past weekend and it was a little hard while trying to entertain Alex at the same time. The basketball did the trick for a while, as well as chasing Dillon around the yard. Of course I would have to stop and run to him every few seconds (it seemed) because he was putting something in his mouth.

He munched on this stick before I could get to him and got a few pieces of bark in his mouth, so I had stick my fingers in his mouth to get it out. He was so dirty by the time I brought him in the house, I had to wash him off outside. Once we got back inside, he ate lunch and he was soooo ready for a nap.

What does a $400,000 car look like?

Believe it or not, this is it...really $400,000!!! Johnny & Jeremy acted like little kids when they saw this, and to top it off they both got to take a ride in it, topping speeds of 150 mph.

Even Alex got to sit in it, only for a quick picture. I was too afraid something would happen, I could just see him throwing up or something (the owner was selling the car the next day, plus it was $400,000, I don't think we could afford to fix anything on this car).

This was Johnny as we was getting ready to go for a ride. I wish I could have gotten a picture of him as he returned, his smile was from ear to ear. I was very happy for him, just not the fact that he went 150 mph.

What do you get when..........

You give a 13 month old a bowl of lasagne and applesauce and the opportunity to feed himself............

And the answer is......

Notice how there are splatters all over his face.....well Alex thought it was funny to start clapping while he had sauce all over his hands, needless to say, it splattered everywhere, all over my face, my white shirt, the floor and his face. He got the biggest laugh out of that.

This was quite intertaining actually. Alex didn't want to eat by me giving him spoonfuls of his food, so I stripped him down to his diaper, but him in his high chair, put the lasagne on the tray and let him have at it. It didn't last long, that's for sure. Once he finished the lasagne I gave him his spoon and applesauce, but he preferred to use his hands and just try to "drink" the applesauce from the cup. I was trying to cook dinner so it kept him pretty occupied, so when Johnny came home I had to beg him to give him a bath for me so I could finish dinner.

Sunday in St. Augustine

Sunday morning we got up and walked over to Grandma & Grandaddy's, it was 9:30 and they were all still asleep, so needless to say, we woke everyone up. Since it was too pretty to sit inside all day and Uncle Chris and Paula were still here we decided to go to The Alligator Farm in St. Augustine.

Grandma still looks sleepy (she had to get up at 4:30 to take Aunt Amy & Aunt Karen to the airport).

Dillon is always looking out for Alex, here he is eating a Cheerio off of Alex's lip.

Don't worry, I know what I'm doing! I've seen this done before.

Thank goodness Uncle Chris didn't get any pictures of us trying to climb on this crazy turtle, I'm sure it wouldn't have been pretty.

Alex loved going down the slide. Johnny has now decided we should get Alex a little swing set & slide for the backyard (I had wanted to get him one for his birthday, but "someone" said he was not ready yet) What a difference a month makes, huh?

This is Maximo, a saltwater Crocodile, a very large crocodile, we got to watch them feed him, so his mouth was pretty much right in front of us.

Here are some of the other animals we got to see, you can click on the collage to enlarge.

Jeremy & Erin's wedding day!!

Alex & Ella are getting ready for the big day making sure they get a good breakfast in.

Jeremy & Nick came over that morning for breakfast, pancakes....can't you see the excitement written all over his face.

Our limo ride to the church.

Aunt Erin looked absolutely beautiful, she looked like a princess!!

Uncle Chris and his girlfriend, Paula, from New York City. We were so glad he brought her so we could meet her, she is a very very sweet girl. Uncle Chris should hold on to her.....

Alex was getting ready for his ride down the aisle in his wagon. He did so good, we were all so proud of him. When he got to the front, he gave daddy & Uncle Jeremy one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen.

My two main men, aren't they cute.

I didn't get to take a whole lot of pictures throughout the day due to chasing Alex around, but the wedding was wonderful. They even got to leave the reception on a yacht for a 2 hour ride, it was beautiful. We are so happy for them. They are now on a cruise out in the Eastern Carribean living it up I'm sure.

Such mischief...

Alex & Ella kept themselves entertained at the rehearsal dinner by pulling all of the moss out of the bottom of this planter.

My new presents

Aunt Karen brought this sock monkey to Alex from her daughter Kellie. Johnny's grandmother had made all of her grandkids sock monkeys so Kellie is carrying on her tradition. It was such a nice gift, I think Johnny still has his sock monkey somewhere.

Check out my new backpack from Mommy, she is sooo cool.

What a busy week!!

Well, we kicked off Jeremy & Erin's wedding week with family flying into town last Tuesday. Aunt Amy, Uncle Chris & Aunt Karen all came in last Tuesday, so it has been a very busy week, and it was so nice to get to see them all again. We hadn't seen Aunt Karen (Grandma's sister from Arizona) since Johnny & I got married almost 4 years ago.
